The Problem With Most Guinea Pig Feed
Most commercial guinea pig feed was never designed specifically for guinea pigs. It started as a rabbit formula or a generic herbivore base, then got slapped with a guinea pig label and a splash of added Vitamin C.

Feeding Instructions: Offer Niblee™ Guinea Pig Feed daily, along with unlimited high-quality grass hay, fresh vegetables high in Vitamin C (such as bell peppers), and fresh, clean water at all times. Most adult guinea pigs consume about 1/8 cup daily (1–2 tablespoons). Intake varies by size, age, activity, and life stage. Monitor body condition and adjust as needed. Transition gradually over 7–10 days when changing diets.

The quality of this food is unmatched. A couple of my guinea pigs weren't sure about it at first, but when I mixed it with their regular food all of them are eating it now. I would like to see more sustainable packaging and shipping materials in the future. After I finish all the food I have currently I plan to use this food exclusively because of the quality ingredients.
I currently own 13 guinea pigs and also foster guinea pigs through my local rescue. I have tried feeding my pigs Sherwood pellets as a healthier alternative to other pellets on the market, with no luck as the pigs never liked Sherwood. I landed on Oxbow pellets as it was palatable and the second best option to Sherwood. That said, I actually learned about Niblee pellets from an Instagram ad and upon reviewing the ingredients, I decided to give it a shot. The first 5 ingredients in the Oxbow pellets I feed are Timothy Grass Meal, Soybean Hulls, Wheat Middlings, Soybean Meal, Cane Molasses. The first 5 ingredients in the Niblee pellets are Timothy Hay, Alfalfa Hay, Orchard Grass Hay, Dried Beet Pulp, Field Peas. I certainly feel a lot better feeding my guinea pigs food that has been thoughtfully created specifically for their dietary needs. With the palatability, I was surprised that such a healthy pellet was so popular amongst my entire herd. They absolutely LOVED the Niblee pellets! I hope in the future Niblee sells larger bags of their pellets.
