Niblee Western Timothy Hay is harvested at peak maturity from carefully selected West Coast fields and naturally sun-cured for optimal fiber structure and aroma. We choose 2nd cut Timothy for its ideal balance of softness and chew resistance, delivering the texture small herbivores instinctively seek.

Unlike compressed, plastic-bagged hay that breaks down in storage, our hay is hand-packed loose into boxes and never warehoused long-term. Every box is filled by hand, not machine-compressed, so the long-strand integrity stays intact from our facility to your animal's bowl. This reduces crushing, keeps dust low, and protects the natural fiber structure essential for digestion and dental wear.

We never use leftovers, sweepings, or compressed fines. Only clean, structured, long-strand Timothy selected for quality you can see and smell.

Purpose Built for Daily Forage

Hay is the foundation of a rabbit, guinea pig, or chinchilla's diet. Long-strand fiber supports gut motility, natural chewing behavior, and steady digestive function. Our Western Timothy Hay provides the structural fiber animals are biologically designed to consume, encouraging natural foraging and consistent intake.

A Note on Seasonal Variation

Hay is a living product. Color, texture, and aroma shift with each harvest. Wetter springs bring greener cuts. Drier summers bring firmer stems. Every field's soil, rainfall, and sun exposure leave their mark on what grows.

What stays consistent is the integrity of the cut, the natural sun-curing process, and the long-strand structure your animal needs. When you open a new box from a different harvest and it looks a little different than your last one, that is not inconsistency. That is real hay, grown for your animal, not processed for a shelf.

The Niblee Promise

Kurt and I source and hand-pack every box here at the Niblee Farm. No factory. No warehouse. If you have a question about where this hay was cut or when it was boxed, you can ask the people who put it there.
